Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities related to the Implementation of DTI systems to ensure that project goals are accomplished by performing the following duties. Travels to client sites as warranted and ensures that appropriate project documents are presented and reviewed with Client Project Manager.
•· Maintains 70-75% personal utilization. Standard for individual utilization may vary from standard target. Refer to individual goal setting form for specific individual target.
•· Captures and reports all time spent.
•· Monitors time reporting to ensure team members capture and report all time spent.
•· Works with Manager and Director, Solutions Implementation Services to secure necessary implementation resources for projects.
•· Works with Implementation Managers to establish project plans for all projects.
•· Documents and routinely discusses key scoping assumptions with client.
•· Manages project budgets to ensure time billed to project is within amounts estimated at project initiation and/or close of Definition Phase.
•· Identifies extended service revenue opportunities that support achievement of key milestones.
•· Actively supports project team in completion of tasks within budget and timeline.
•· Serves as primary point of contact for client from contract signing through the end of the project, ensuring the smooth transition to live operation and finally transition to Support Services.
•· Conducts, observes, and participates in on-site events as needed.
•· Works to achieve a high level of cooperation between DTI managers and stakeholders and the customer's project team and stakeholders in delivering a successful project
•· Completes projects on time compared to the baseline established during project initiation and/or the Definition Phase.
•· Routinely monitors and reports project progress and milestone template information.
•· Identifies timeline implications and negotiates tradeoffs where timeline is at risk.
•· Promotes completion-oriented mindset.
•· Creates deliverables using established methodology including project administration deliverables (e.g. action item list, conference call reports, etc.)
•· Manages expectations and implementation team member activities to ensure positive feedback on Implementation Assessment.
•· Promotes understanding of client organization among project team and builds relationships at all levels.
•· Promotes DTI at all times.
•· Routinely obtains feedback from key client personnel.
•· Actively and appropriately communicates project status and issues to clients.
•· Works cooperatively with peers and other DTI employees.
•· Actively manages personal development and seeks input when required.
•· Remains abreast of emerging industry and technology trends.
•· Inspires respect of others and motivates team to achieve performance goals.
•· Promotes environment of reliance on tools and samples as well as ongoing contribution to knowledge base.
•· Regularly contributes ideas and feedback for ongoing development of methodology
The nature of this job requires frequent and repeated visits to DTI client sites to complete the work. DTI management estimates that approximately 35-70% annually of the Project Manager work is performed at a client site. Requirements within this range may vary considerably depending on the nature of the specific customer needs and overall business volume.
